Mary Higgins Clark is one of my favorite authors and she didn't let me down with this book. It certainly kept me glued to the story and the characters were well defined and very interesting. Sometimes I can figure out the mystery before the ending of the book but not this time! I was quite surprised to find out who the murderer was. The only thing I had a problem with was the number of characters in the book. It was difficult for me to keep them straight. Younger people probably would not have that problem. I highly recommend this book to all.

The writing style is different, very different. It seems like the author was just trying to get the story out of her head and didn't bother with nonsense, which after I got used to it I think I rather enjoyed.

The story itself was really good. I completely enjoyed it and was definitely shocked and happy with the ending. I would definitely recommend and will certainly read the next book previewed.

A page turner, this book has more challenging mysteries intertwined in ways you simply can't believe. Dealing with in vitro fertilization, lawyers, doctors, headhunters and family members get mixed up in schemes with crazy out comes. Get ready to read it,all because there is no good place to stop.
I've never read a book with so many character's and plots going on. It was a little annoying, until the middle of the book. Then it got better. I read it in 2 days, so that's a compliment. I will be purchasing more of her books. Mary is an astonishing writer!
I thoroughly enjoyed this book, it was very hard to put down until the very end. It was about a man that was supposed to have been in an explosion that happened on a bridge. The insurance refused to pay the family because his car, nor his body was ever recovered from the water. That where the story gets interesting, what happened to him, plus a lot more was added to the plot. I would recommend this book it was avery good story.
I have just finished another great novel by Mary Higgins Clark. I have never been disappointed in any novel she has written. I start with anticipation and finish with, I didn't see that coming. My greatest advice to anyone who is looking for a great mystery is to start reading any of her books.
Great read, she envelops you quickly to be personally part of the adventure/mystery. I read the book out of curiosity; a few years ago I had read Michael Walsh's book by the same name which was a continuation of the story of Casablanca, also a great read in my opinion.I recommend them both but my connection to the Mary Higgins Clark book is a bit more personal; my Son was born in New Milford Hospital many years ago so all the settings were very familiar which enriched the story for me., thanks for a great read. Correction My mistake; the Michael Walsh book was "AS TIME GOES BY",. how we forget and marry two things in our memory bank that seem related but are totally different. At least they both borrow their names from classic songs.
What a great read! There's murder, deceit, greed, romance, secrets, intrigue -everything that makes a really good story. This was good from start to finish. Only sorry it did finish. Mary Higgins Clark truly knows how to draw you in ,a true master storyteller. The characters were great and everything pulled together at the end. This could really turn into a sequel., its just that good.
